The minimum eye lead time technique says you should scan ____ seconds ahead on city streets and ____ seconds ahead at highway speeds. Examine the image and then answer the question.
Good job! On city streets, you should be scanning 12 to 15 seconds ahead-that’s about one city block. On highways, you should open it up to 20 to 30 seconds down the road. And whatever your speed, stay alert-because hazards can pop up anywhere.
