Microsoft Shows Interest
In Online Marketer Claria

Microsoft Corp. has been in talks to buy online marketer Claria Corp., but concerns about public reaction to a deal could scuttle the negotiations, say people familiar with the situation.

The deal, if completed, would bring Microsoft Claria’s technology for delivering personalized advertisements and information to Web surfers. Microsoft would use the technology to try to increase Web advertising on its MSN online service and better compete with Google Inc. and Yahoo Inc., according to person familiar with the matter. The talks were first reported by The New York Times.

‘DVD Jon’ Breaks Google Video Lock – Yahoo! News

Norwegian hacker Jon Lech Johansen has cracked the lock on Google’s new in-browser video player.

Johansen, also known as ‘DVD Jon’ for his work on decrypting DVD security codes, has created a patch for the Google Video Viewer—less than 24 hours after the search giant shipped the video playback plug-in, a tool based on the open-source VideoLAN media player.

Google Earth – Home

“Google launches Keyhole 3 today, rebranded Google Earth, and are dumping the subscription rate (except for a $20/year “plus” versions with prettier pictures) available soon at earth.google.com.

The program lets you fly around a 3D globe, with overhead satellite photos, tilted 45-degree photos, 3D rendered buildings, and overlays that display everything from roads to hotels to bike routes. I have a lot of info and screenshots at InsideGoogle, and Search Engine Watch has a big writeup. With yesterday’s Google Video release, this is shaping up to be a major week for the search giant.”

This is unbelieveable.. The check out some of the screenshots!

Hardmac.com : Le “Macbidouille” in English

Le Figaro announced that the iPhone was about to be launched (refer to our previous news). We then tried unsuccessfully to find some information about this device in iTunes 4.8.
Of course, we did the same with iTunes 4.9 and… Bingo!

It is clearly mentioned a phone device as well as Motorola.

iTunes 4.9 also includes a new feature concerning the video: “VideosParty”
Up to you to guess what this new feature is before Apple do it!

[UPDATE] Macprime also discovered the iPhone’s icon in iTunes:

Ok.. Might not affect everyone out there, but certainly helps me out!

Lyrics Taken From “Technologic” off the “Human After All” Album

Buy it, use it, break it, fix it,
trash it, change it, melt – upgrade it,
charge it, pawn it, zoom it, press it,
snap it, work it, quick – erase it,
write it, get it, paste it, save it,
load it, check it, quick – rewrite it,
plug it, play it, burn it, rip it,
drag and drop it, zip – unzip it,
lock it, fill it, curl it, find it,
view it, curl it, jam – unlock it,
surf it, scroll it, pose it, click it,
cross it, crack it, twitch – update it,
name it, read it, tune it, print it,
scan it, send it, fax – rename it,
touch it, bring it, obey it, watch it,
turn it, leave it, stop – format it.
