If you’re opening up a 360 you’re probably going to backup some games. so take the tub your spindle of discs came in (i used a 50 dvd-r tub by traxdata myself) and cut a bit from the side of it and put it over the console as shown. then mark out where the holes are…

Picasa is a free software download from Google. Now available for Linux!
Picasa is software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your computer. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual albums organized by date with folder names you will recognize. You can drag and drop to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups. Picasa makes sure your pictures are always organized.
Picasa also makes advanced editing simple by putting one-click fixes and powerful effects at your fingertips. And Picasa makes it a snap to share your pictures – you can email, print photos home, and even post pictures on your own blog.

from G-Stahl.com:

Just as many other MacBooks, mine got really hot and that got me a bit concerned. This is my first Apple laptop and I take a lot of pleasure in discovering new things about it. After playing around with it I found that the vent under the screen is covered with a piece of laminate. I briefly checked the manual and it doesn’t mention anything about it. It’s very hard to get to it as the gap between the screen and the base is very tight. However, I was able to remove it and surprise… my fans went quiet. The laminate covers the whole vent so no air gets out at all.

I usually keep two 20″ screens side by side on my desk, so I can code on one and test on the other. I find I can work much faster if I can just make a change in Eclipse, and by the time I turn my head to the other screen, the tests have already run. My new laptop, however, has a 15″ screen, which feels a bit cramped when I’m working away from the office. I’ve been using the fancy Desktop Manager by Richard Wareham, which is a very nice utility to let you keep several virtual desktops, and change between them easily.
Of course, if you’re using something like Emacs or Butler, all your keys will be taken already, so you’ll need to use some sort of Command-Ctrl-Shift-4 keystroke for the actual desktop switching.
Turns out, the laptop has a built-in motion sensor. Nominally, it’s there to protect the internal hard drive. The basic idea is this: If the accelerometer suddenly notices that the gravitational pull of earth is no longer present, the most likely explanation is that the laptop, sensor and all, is currently accelerating at 9.81 m/s² towards said earth. In that case, it will (wisely) try to turn the hard drive off in preparation for impact.
It can, however, also be used in situations not involving lobbing the laptop across the room, fun though that may be.
The code has been released on his webpage… Very cool stuff, cant wait to try it out on my macbook tonight!

The friendly fellows from Team Xecuter thought that those hackers
shouldn’t be the only ones to be able to play backup games for the XBOX 360
game console, and has announced that the group is very close to releasing a
first generation mod-chip for XBOX 360. The mod chip allows for two
separate firmwares to coexist in the system allowing for hacked and non-hacked
usage.
Unfortunately for the mod-chippers, there
seems to be a major obstacle in the way — epoxy. Epoxy surrounds the
firmware chip making it firmly attached to the XBOX, thus hindering the chance
to easily access the legs of the firmware IC. This leaves most people with
two different options: try to remove the glue (which is next
to impossible, short of breaking off the pins) or find alternative solder
points. A member of the Xbox-Scene.com forums was able to post one possible guide to these alernate pin-outs, with a mere thirty solder points.
XBOX 360 got its first taste of firmware hacks just last week when the DVD
firmware hack for the TS-H943 XBOX 360s was publically announced.
The DVD-Firmware hack works by ignoring the non-present media flags on 1:1 game
copies.
