So you just got your new Powerbook G4, and you the hacker have been messing around with the terminal and stuff, but you realize there is no default root password. Here’s how you set one
Step 1: Become an Administrator
For this, you will need to have access to an account that has administrator abilities. Otherwise it will not work.
Step 2: Netinfo Manager
Go to Applications/Utilities and launch Netinfo Manager. From there go to Security -> Authenticate. Enter your admin user/pass and hit enter.
Then go to Security -> Enable Root User. Enter a password for root and you’re done! Yay!
