I was talking to a friend just 2 days ago about how scary it was that gmails are "never actually deleted," and we both started to wonder if there was an encryption plugin for arbitrary browser fields integrated with, e.g., gpg for windows...

Nice work!

www.keygloo.com has an encryption software that allows you to send encrypted emails (public key technology) from Gmail, Yahoo mail, Hotmail, Lycos mail and Outlook Express(Interoperable). Keygloo simply introduces a tool bar to your browser with buttons to encrypt, decrypt and attach (encrypted attachments). So if you are looking for interoperability between webmails and Email clients while sending encrypted emails, Keygloo is a better choice compared to Gmail SMIME.

Keygloo is currently available only for IE though. But the software is the simplest to use and well suited for average internet users!
