from nUbuntu

Okay. After 3-4 days of solid work, I have finished an alpha of nUbuntu based on Dapper Drake Flight 5. Please report bugs, suggestions, and flames to our forums http://forum.nubuntu.org.

There is a new way of running some programs, please refer to /opt/nubuntu/readme.txt and /opt/nubuntu/programs.txt. The usual command startx starts the X server and Fluxbox.

Direct download link and torrent link are available via the downloads page. The torrent may not be active straight away. Even if you download via the direct download link, please download the torrent and seed. The downloads page employs a load balancing script so please be aware if you are using wget or similar.

I would like to thank Oliver Wine for providing the main upload server for other mirrors to grab from.

Also for those interested, we had around 12,000 downloads of the last release. That is 4200000 megabytes, or 4101.5625 gigabytes, or 4.005432 terabytes of nUbuntu downloaded :-)
