All,
As you know the past year, I-hacked has been slower with updates than usual. I would like to welcome you to the “turning-point” back where i-hacked thrives again! What better way to celebrate our rebirth than with a brand-new server! Thats right, we have retired solder.i-hacked.com, and now I would like to introduce you to flux.i-hacked.com! (if you are reading this, you are using it)
Another way we are celebrating our return is by having a KICK-ASS party at Defcon15 this year. As an I-Hacked reader you will have VIP access to this party, and trust me you wont want to miss this one. You will notice we have been granted the use of a skybox on Friday Aug 3rd, and we are going to take full advantage of this. I will be posting details soon on how you can obtain VIP access to the party — so please watch for it. For now if you plan on coming to DC15 please post in the comments below.
We also have some BIG things planned for Defcon this year so please stay tuned!

Possibility of me attending. I will have to look at the details.

Well, after looking at the details more closely, I noticed a recommendation of 21 years or older. Would this be a big deal if I was 18? Can I still go into the skybox and still have plenty to do while being there?

Not sure if I’ll be making it to Defcon, but if I do I’ll definitely stop by.

It would be fine be 18 @ defcon, but you will not be able to drink.. but there will be plenty to do, and plenty of people to meet.

Am I still able to get into the skybox and all?

Ah ok. Anything planned for the I-hacked community? Free swag? =D
I will definatly be looking into it, sounds like fun. Just don’t know if I’ll have the cash to go! I would imagine gas/plane ticket would be expensive, then a hotel room… anyone got a rough cost estimate? If not, I’ll look into it.

I think my plane tickets were in the $250 range (round trip) and the hotel (Riveria) has special defcon rates. Right now it shows that they are sold out, but trust me if you call every day and ask for a room, one will magically open up (had to do it last year)

As far as swag goes — you can count on it.

Hmm, I really want to go! I’ll have to talk with my geek friends and see if they would like to go. I wouldn’t want to go by myself obviously.

Oh, also, is the $100 registration fee only good that one day or is it good for the entire convention? I am only asking due to it being listed at the top of each day.

I would love to go, I just need to find some transportation as I’m in NY.
I’m likin’the $1,337 all inclusive “hackers on a plane” special :p

The $100 covers the entire con
